Terms of Use

Hootz application ("Hootz") is developed and offered to you by Seprum sp. z o.o., KRS: 0001159379, NIP: 5833532031, ul. Wały Piastowskie 1/813, Gdańsk, 80-855, Poland ("Provider"). Hootz helps users track and manage personal finance and analyze income and expenses. Use of Hootz and related services is subject to the following Terms ("Terms"), forming a legally binding agreement ("Agreement") between you and Provider. Hootz is free in its basic version and offers optional paid subscriptions ("Paid features").

• Acceptance. You accept these Terms by clicking "Accept" during sign-up or by using Hootz. You must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts. Users under 18 must have parental/guardian consent. By accepting, you confirm you are not a politically exposed person under applicable anti-money laundering laws (such as the Polish Act of 1 March 2018 on Counteracting Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing). • Termination. You may terminate the Agreement anytime by notifying the Provider and deleting the app. Purchases are non-refundable. Provider may terminate with 2 months' notice or immediately in exceptional circumstances (e.g., AML concerns, crimes, Terms violation).
• Amendments. Provider may update these Terms due to legal, technical, or business reasons. Updated Terms are published 2 months in advance and sent via email. Continued use implies acceptance. You may terminate the Agreement if you disagree.
• Use of Hootz. Use Hootz legally and as intended. Do not interfere with servers or third-party systems.
• Registration. Sign-up is via email, Apple ID, or Google account. Provide accurate info and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for all account activity. Provider may suspend or reject accounts.
• Payment Account Sync. You may sync bank/e-wallet accounts using Aggregators (Plaid or GoCardless). You authorize Aggregators to access your accounts read-only and share data with Hootz. Connect only accounts you legally control. Review aggregator privacy policies: Plaid, GoCardless. Provider does not access or store your financial credentials.
• User Content. You retain rights to your uploaded/synced content and grant Provider a license to use it for service provision. Don’t upload illegal, offensive, or infringing content. Provider may remove content at its discretion. Back up your data.
• No Professional Advice. Any insights or offers in Hootz are not financial, tax, or investment advice. Provider is not liable for actions based on such content.
• License & Ownership. Hootz and its IP remain Provider's property. You get a limited, non-commercial, personal-use license. Do not reverse engineer, extract data, or violate any protections.
• Technical Requirements. See the app's page for current system requirements and limitations.
• Maintenance & Support. Hootz may change or be updated without notice. Provider offers limited support to free users. Downtime may occur.
• Premium Features & Pricing. Paid features are unlocked via subscriptions (1 or 12 months). Prices include VAT and may change. Internet fees may apply. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the term ends. Cancellations apply after the current period ends.
• Payments & Refunds. By clicking "Subscribe," you agree to immediate access and waive withdrawal rights if in the EU. Payments are processed by third parties; Provider stores no payment data. Refunds are generally not available.
• Trials. Trials may require payment details. Charges apply after the trial unless cancelled in time.
• Privacy. Provider processes data as per the Privacy Policy. You can manage or withdraw your data processing consents in the Hootz app or by contacting the DPO.
• Liability. Provider is not liable for any indirect damages. Total liability is capped at one month of Paid features, subject to applicable law.
• Indemnity. You agree to indemnify Provider against claims arising from your use of Hootz.
• Third-party Services. Hootz may include third-party services (e.g., Google Login). Other terms may apply. Use of such services is at your own risk.
• iOS Terms. Agreement is between you and Provider, not Apple. Apple has no support or warranty obligations. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the term ends. Manage settings via your Apple account.
• Export Control. You confirm you’re not in a restricted country or on a prohibited party list.
• Law & Disputes. Terms are governed by EU law. Disputes are resolved by Polish courts.
• Severability. Invalid provisions do not affect the rest of the Terms. They will be replaced by valid, similar ones.
• Language. English is the agreed language for all communication and Terms.
